Celebrations at 606
The 606 jazz club has been celebrating 25 years in the present venue (Lotts Road, Chelsea)
Last Wednesday there where 4 Bass players, 3 Pianists, 3 Sax players, 2 drummers and a guitarist!
When muddled up and put into order this came out as:
Mark Lockheart (Tenor), John Parricelli (Guitar) with Darren Phillips (Bass) and Nick France (Drums)
The next set was the Gwilym Smicock trio which had Lawrence Cottle (Bass) and James Maddren (Drums)
Following on was Iain Bellamy 's Anorak with Gareth Williams (piano) Sam Burgess (bass) and Nick France (drums)
The final act of the evening, if the first three weren't enough, was Kit Downes trio with Julian Siegel (reeds), Yuri Goloubev (bass)? and James Maddren was back on drums
