Richard Iles Miroscopic at Seven Jazz

Just catching up on a great gig I caught last year!
I only took a few shots at this gig as it was being played acoustically and the audience were very quiet, so I didn't move about as much as I sometimes do, all these were taken from my seat!

Richard Iles – trumpet/flugelhorn,
Mike Williams – alto saxophone,
Les Chisnall – piano,
Percy Pursglove – bass

Unfortunately Les is in hiding in these photos!

Callander Jazz and Blues Festival

Just recovering from a hectic weekend of haggis and music in Callander
The festival has been running for a few years with a heady mix of Blues, Jazz, Jive, Swing and everything in between, with various styles of the genres being performed.

The festival has a similar vibe to Marsden with the whole town seeming to get involved, definitely worth a visit if you've not been. I caught 10 acts of the 45 on offer over the 3 days here are some photos from the festival.

The Truetones in the crowded Crown

Jill Saward - Shakatak in the High School

The Jazz Pack (please give me the name) back in The Crown

Iain Ewing - Jazz and Swing

Kent Duchaine - Blues

Four of the Beverley Beirne and her Quartet - Jazz
about town the morning after their gig

For more info about the festival keep checking

With the Olympics in full swing from torch relay to the closing ceremony, I had an embargo on London, like a few I avidly avoided it! Here are some snaps!
